Sheri’s Bio

There is not a moment-not a second of any day I do not think of color.  The way it feels as I run my fingers through a cool crisp azure blue, or the way bright yellow makes my fingers dance with excitement.  I am drawn to color as I was beckoned to the sandy shore of Cocoa Beach. As a child growing up in the burbs of chicago I would hide under the red wooden steps and draw mermaids and turtles.  I would pretend to swim with the fishes and let the dolphins pull me through the turquoise waters which enveloped my dreams.  The gentle movement of wise old mr. Hawskbill, my turtle friend, would lull me to sleep and I always knew I was never alone with my little fish friends.  As I grew, I spent hours drawing cartoons and coloring with crayons.  College led me to a duel degree in art and elementary education – I wanted to color the world and bring smiles to all kids.  I wanted them to get excited about how they can use art in every aspect of their lives and turn a dull assignment into one of visual discovery.  In 2007 I opened Bali Studios and have marveled at each and every persons journey through my doors.  As soon as they enter, they smile.  Bali studios is home.  Its my home and I gladly share it with all who wish to enter and discover the magic of color.  Whether you learn to mosaic, paint, draw, or work with pastels I promise you and your children will leave here with confidence that you too can color the world.  Join me on this voyage-take a class, bring a friend, learn something just for you.  Enrich your life, give your children freedom to believe in themselves as they paint and draw their way through life.
